8/31 Mos of Inventory by Location - Condos

On August 31st we measured the months of condo inventory across a number of South Central Wisconsin MLS locations. This is a useful measure because buyers tend to have more leverage (and sellers less) where the months of inventory are very high. The results below are summarized for Madison West, Madison East, Dane County community, and surrounding county MLS locations. Note: MLS locations that had less than 8 condo transactions over the previous 12 months were excluded from the results. Months of Inventory - Madison West Four locations had less than 10 months of inventory. Two locations had more than 30 months of inventory. For a map of the Madison MLS locations, click here. Months of Inventory - Madison East The E07 and E05 locations had less than 9 months of inventory. One location had more than 18 months of inventory. For a map of the Madison MLS locations, click here. Months of Inventory - Dane County Communities The Middleton, McFarland, Fitchburg, Madison East and Oregon locations had less than the Dane County average of 14 months. Five locations had more than 16 months of inventory.  Months of Inventory - Surrounding Counties Dane County had 14 months of inventory. All other counties had more than 19 months of inventory.
