As of August 31st, Dane County combined home and condo inventory stood at 4,884 units, 46 units less than the combined inventory level from the same time last year. The inventory level for Dane County homes was 3,259 units, 296 more than the level from August 31st of 2009. Condo inventory stood at 1,625 units on August 31st, 342 less then the inventory level from last year. From the graph below you'll see combined single family home and condo inventory was roughly 2,500 units in January of 2005. After a steady climb, inventory more than doubled and peaked in the summer of 2007 at roughly 6,100 units. (Note: We started tracking the single family home and condo inventory levels separately in May of 2007).
